It’s not actually spring here in Estonia yet. I’m still wearing my knee-length down coat. The sky starts off gray most days and occasionally changes to blue and sunny later on (to be fair, persistently gray skies are a characteristic of just about every season in this here country). On Sunday, it snowed, although it was nothing compared to the snow storm we got at the end of March last year. Regardless, everyone is hopeful and keeps making comments like “I can feel spring in the air!”
I took this photo last spring and never got around to posting it. It was going to be for a review of M&M’s vs. Nestlé Smarties vs. Fazer Amerikan Pastilleja. I can’t remember anymore what I was going to write, except that I love love love the thick coating and chocolate quality of the Amerikan Pastilleja (the biggest ones) and that even though I used to love Smarties, they lack flavor compared to the other two. But for now I’m just going to admire the pretty-colored candies like fresh flowers, hoping that real spring with real flowers will come around any day now.
